the omaha zoo through my fuji x-t1
stingray kiss!!
when kyle asked me what i wanted to do for my 27th birthday this year - i had only one thing on my mind - the best zoo in THE WORLD. seriously. our zoo is the best in the world. so strapped with my new fujifilm x-t1 we hit south omaha on a chilly october morning. after having been to the san diego zoo recently and having not been to ours in some time, i was blown away. i love that the animals literally run past you as you walk through the exhibits and how close you can get to them. and at the new stingray beach exhibit by the old red barn, you get to pet stingrays!! this was amazing and now my new favorite thing ever to exist -even though i'm still mad about steve irwin. and the staff working showed us the proper way to feed them and get stingray kisses! they loved kissing kyle, just like i do :) it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.
and i have to add the x-ti is such a sweet camera. it's compact and shoots, looks, & feels like a film camera. so excited to have this on hand now. happy birthday me!
