our home in little italy

the apartment feels more and more like home every day. a place i finally feel truly reflects us as people - a mash up of both KP and me combined. I like to think of it as beachy boho rocker chic haha. really no rhyme or reason to it, just us. a lot of the furniture in our apartment was wonderfully made by kyle - some pieces a little newer than others. the table in the dining room is one of the most recent pieces of furniture he has made for us - two slabs of wood we found at junkstock last year. the live edge is really gorgeous feature of it and the table itself is near perfect in it's build and shape.

there are still a few things we are working on.. kyle is currently in the process of refinishing our dining room chairs so that they all match: dark spray paint for the base and a natural wood seat. the bathroom overall still needs some work - a project for winter will be removing the wallpaper trim and repainting a crisp white. we've done very little painting overall and don't want to get too crazy with it considering we are renters. i'll also have to figure out where to put all the plants once it starts to get cold. i've been begging KP for a credenza/record player console (in one! he can do it) that will go along the gallery wall in the dining room. then we'll be set until we decide to buy something of our own.

living in little italy has been quite the experience so far but i really love it, and hope to continue to live in this area for a nice chunk of our lives going forward. we are a couple blocks walk from the old market which is nice because we still feel separate but connected to it all. and the views, you just can't beat it.
