clap your hands say yeah

last night we saw alec ounsworth of clap your hands say yeah play a living room show here in omaha. he drove straight on through colorado from playing a similar gig the night before. it was my first experience of a living room show and i really dug it! the home he played in was wonderful, spacious and airy but not gigantic or assuming. the owner of the place laughed whole-heartedly and joked back and forth with people and the singer in between song breaks. he played for almost two hours and took time out to answer people's questions. it was a great night.
